Note From Jo ~
Ah, one year. For a child, waiting 12 months for an annual special event can be an eternity. For a middle-aged person, 12 months can go by in a blink. How long is a year? Enough time for a warranty to run out, a perfect length of time for modifying or strengthening your exercise routine, the approximate months between harvests, and the ideal period to receive four club shipments.
Speaking of club shipments – your options have expanded over the past twelve months. You may elect to receive two bottles in your shipment (one of each wine) or get four bottles (two of each wine). One for drinking and one for the cellar! Contact us if you wish to change your membership level. Another feature we will be adding for club members is a referral program. Get a friend to join one of the club levels, and you will receive free shipping on your next four club shipments. Call for details.
In the past year, I have expanded my jogging routine - ran two 5k’s and have another coming up this fall for the Susan B. Komen breast cancer foundation. We added a daughter-in-law to the family and one son added a house mortgage to his monthly expenses. In the same period, our daughter’s husband, an Army Ranger, completed one deployment to Iraq and returned home safely. By year’s end, they will contribute to the expansion of our family, with our first grandchild.
Silverado Vineyards has seen growth in the past twelve months. Lara Miller, Director of Marketing and Communications, had a baby boy, Will; and Jennifer Wilkinson, hospitality staffer, had a baby girl, Emma (babies arriving within weeks of each other). More “additions” are on the way from our Special Events Coordinator, Michelle Jackson, and the wife of our Director of Sales, Clint Wilsey. Hmm, do we see a second generation of Silverado employees developing? Stay tuned.
In the meantime, come and visit, relax on our terrace, and take pleasure in time passing a little more slowly in Napa Valley.
Cheers,
Jo Dayoan Wine Club Coordinator
