- Robert Parker Gives New Review
93+ Points from The Wine Advocate
Previously awarded a 92+, Robert Parker is now revisiting all of the 2001 Vintage.
"This strong effort from Silverado Vineyards is young and unevolved, with notes of subtle smoke, black currants, tobacco leaf, crushed rock and incense. It is a deep, chewy wine, but also elegant and substantial. In the finish, the tannins kick in, suggesting this wine is at least 4-5 years away from any semblance of maturity. It should last for 30+ years as well. This is another profound example from this great vintage that has eclipsed its own early rave reviews." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate See Wine >
- 2008 Napa Cabernet - 92 Points
"Full and fruity with a firm, racy texture and a powerful finish." 92 Points
"This is an exuberant red with lots of currants and menthol aromas and flavors. Full and fruity with a firm, racy texture and a powerful finish. Give it two to three years of bottle age to come together more." 92 Points

- 2007 SOLO - 95 Points
"This is a brilliant wine, the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted from Silverado."
"The prodigious 2007 Solo has a saturated dense purple color to the rim, a wonderfully sweet nose of blue and black fruits intermixed with charcoal, incense, floral notes, a hint of espresso, and subtle wood. It is fabulously rich and full-bodied, yet at the same time, the elegance is very apparent, and the wine well-focused and pure. This is a brilliant wine, the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted from Silverado. It should evolve for 25-30 or more years."
