"This has amazing depth and texture to it."
"This has amazing depth and texture to it. Aromas of raspberries, minerals, and currants. Very intense. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins. Goes on for a minute or two on the finish. I really like the polish to this. I think of Leoville-Las-Cases when you taste this. Leave it for three to four years. "

"Fresh, lively palate with silky-smooth fruit..."
"Chocolate, coffee, spice, plum, oak and black fruit nose. Fresh, lively palate with silky-smooth fruit, leathery tannins and a long spicy length. Needs time. Drink 2014-2020."

"I am impressed with the structure of this wine."
"I am impressed with the structure of this wine. This shows intense aromas of crushed blackberries and blueberries that follow to a full body, with lots of fruit and a velvety tannin structure. Long and structured."

"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous example of elegance allied to power."
"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous example of elegance allied to power. The final blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc offers up notes of crushed rock, spring flowers, red and black currants, and plum as well as hints of while chocolate and subtle barrique smells. Medium to full-bodied, with a nicely layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally, the wine has superb purity as well as accessibility. It can be drunk now or cellared for 15 or more years. This is a strong group of wines from Silverado, and certainly a great deal of credit must go to the winemaker Jonathan Emmerich."
