Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

The sloping, gravelly soils and sunny exposure of Silverado Vineyard pairs perfectly with western exposures to the late afternoon sun and Mt. George Vineyard’s cooler climate and deep volcanic soils provide depth and structure to these wines. This wine is made up of two estate vineyards, Mt. George and Silverado. Located east of Napa, Mt. George Vineyard is the site of one of the first grape plantings in the valley in the 19th century. Mt. George produces wines with intense fruit flavors, dark color, palate density, and classic structure. The Silverado Vineyard is home to the namesake winery. It was on this site that Harry See planted Cabernet Sauvignon in 1968 that UC Davis later designated the Disney-Silverado Heritage Clone.

Tasting Notes

Upon opening, concentrated aromas of blackberry and black cherry fill the nose. The palate is full-bodied with abundant dark fruit characters accented by dried herbs, vanilla and spice. This wine is elegantly structured with lingering notes of toasted oak on the finish
