The 2023 Silverado Limited Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep and powerful wine that commands attention with its complex, multi-layered profile. The aromatics are a refined blend of black and red cherries and mulberry, enriched by creamy vanilla, fresh bay leaf, and the comforting warmth of sweet pipe tobacco and spices. This richness carries onto the palate, which is notably deep and dark, showcasing intense flavors of black cherry, plum, and cacao nib. With a firm mid-palate and a supple texture, the wine transitions into a mocha and graphite-laced finish, defined by lingering dark chocolate tannins and exceptional length.

SILVERADO VINEYARD (63%) – Silverado Vineyard is home to the winery named in its honor. Originally planted in 1884 by Abel McFarland, it was one of the earliest vineyards established in what would later become the world-renowned Stags Leap District. On this site, Harry See planted Cabernet Sauvignon in 1968 that UC Davis later designated the Disney-Silverado Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon. See, and later the Miller family, generously shared cuttings of this prized Cabernet clone with their neighbors, greatly contributing to the unique flavor profile of Stags Leap District Cabernets.
MT. GEORGE VINEYARD (37%) – Located east of Napa, Mt. George Vineyard is the site of one of the first grape plantings in the valley in the 19th century. First planted in 1868, it is the oldest vineyard site in the Coombsville appellation. Napa Pioneer Henry Hagen’s weathered stone gate still guards the southwest entrance of Silverado’s Mt. George Vineyard. The classic red varieties thrive here on the deep, gravelly down-slopes of an ancient volcano named Mt. George. With high sunlight at low temperatures and well drained hillside soil, Mt. George produces wines with intense fruit flavors, dark color, palate density, and classic structure.
