GEO Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon
Coombsville
Inspired by the root word for earth and the name of the vineyard – GEO represents the highest expression of single-vineyard Cabernet from this extraordinary place. Located east of Napa, Mt. George Vineyard is the site of the first grape plantings in Coombsville. Under the care of pioneering Napa vintner Henry Hagen, the vineyard originally known as Cedar Knoll established its reputation in the 1880’s as a source for fine American red wines. Silverado was part of the appellation committee that established the Coombsville AVA and GEO was created in celebration of this milestone.

Points Alluring scents of dark chocolate and black cherry. The flavors augment in intensity, with black olive, roasted coffee and a creamy roundness that gentles the largesse of these savory notes. Luscious from start to finish.
— Tasting Panel
Points A dark, concentrated effort, with potent aromas of pencil shavings and cassis on the nose… somewhere between silky and velvety, not overly plush, with a strong spine of acidity.
— Wine Advocate
Points GEO has the coolness of Coombsville fruit: a full-on sour-cherry saturation that makes the tannins feel sweet. Brisk and vibrant.
