GEO Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon
Coombsville
Inspired by the root word for earth and the name of the vineyard – GEO represents the highest expression of single-vineyard Cabernet from this extraordinary place. Located east of Napa, Mt. George Vineyard is the site of the first grape plantings in Coombsville. Under the care of pioneering Napa vintner Henry Hagen, the vineyard originally known as Cedar Knoll established its reputation in the 1880’s as a source for fine American red wines. Silverado was part of the appellation committee that established the Coombsville AVA and GEO was created in celebration of this milestone.

Points Very ripe, with a gush of warmed cassis, boysenberry compote and plum reduction flavors. This manages to glide along thanks to its polished feel… a hint of violet on the finish.
— Wine Spectator
Points This suave and structured wine from cool Coombsville in southern Napa Valley is deep in blueberries, dark plums and dark chocolate. Fine-grained tannins support the dark fruit, cream and subtle oak spices.
— James Suckling
Points The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon GEO brings another level of purity and precision, with pure cassis and currant fruits intermixed with darker chocolate, classy oak, and graphite.
